Guests can enjoy fine Basque and nouvelle cuisine in the chic Goizeko Wellington Restaurant, popular with local celebrities. The imposing 8-floor Wellington Hotel is located opposite the Retiro Park and close to the Prado Museum in the Salamanca district of Madrid. Room amenities include satellite television, in-room safes, minibars and 24-hour room service. La Llave de Oro, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serves Spanish and international cuisine to hotel guests and locals, and the English Bar is the ideal place to relax with a drink or light snack. The outdoor swimming pool is located in the courtyard and in summer, drinks and snacks are served in the seasonal bar. Large canvases of contemporary art adorn the lobby and modern stained glass windows enliven every floor. The 266 guestrooms are decorated in a classic style with fabrics in rich reds, greens and browns and wooden furniture. Health and beauty facilities include a hairdresser and barber, saunas, manicure, pedicure and a massage treatment room. All rooms feature en-suite marble bathrooms with two sinks, magnifying mirrors and a wide choice of toiletries. Beds have linen sheets. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and there are eight meeting rooms with facilities for up to 250 people. Rooms overlook the swimming pool courtyard or the street; the latter have double-glazing.

From Madrid Barajas Airport take the N-100 in the direction of Burgos - Madrid - Zaragoza. Follow the sign N-II E-90 Avenida de América - Madrid and join the N- II/E-90 for 6km. Follow the sign M-30 Valencia and turn onto the M-30 for 1km. Follow the sign Calle Alcalá and enter Madrid. Take Calle de Alcalá for 2km before turning right on Calle de Velázquez. The hotel is at number 8.
